The handyman that will fix Guilford County.

Meet Tony

I was born and raised in western Pennsylvania, and while in HS there I earned a private pilot’s license.

I obtained a Bachelor of Science Cum Laude in Mechanical Engineering from University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Science in Engineering from NC State University.

As a 40-year resident of North Carolina and a 30-year resident of Guilford County District 4, I am aware of the growth our county has experienced and the challenges that face us at this time.

I am a dedicated Christian and long-time member of LifeNet Community church in Burlington, NC. I served on the Board of Directors of Carver Machine Works in Washington, NC from 2016-2020, was a volunteer in Guilford County’s “Cities in Schools” mentoring/tutoring program, was a 4-year poll Judge in District 4, and am a member of the Eastern Guilford Conservative Club.  I am still a private pilot, a woodworker, apiarist (bee keeper), and handyman.

As County Commissioner, specific areas of focus will include controlling taxes, ensuring property appraisals align with market rates and are not overstated, budget transparency and accountability, responsible development that encourages both home ownership and business growth, community and school safety, and establishing mentoring/internship programs between businesses and our high schools.

Unlike our current commissioner, I am not a teacher with a potential conflict of interest on the subject of school funding and issues relating to county budget expenditures.

I will not support pet projects or backroom deals because those paying the bill have a right to know where their money is going.

I humbly ask for your vote in the 2024 election.

Tony Jacobelli – a fair, practical, and community minded citizen out to promote opportunities and responsible growth for our county.

  • As a Mechanical Engineer I have over 30 years of experience solving problems, not creating them or passing them off for others to solve.

I am not a politician, some who create more problems than they solve and waste or misuse our tax dollars in the process.  I understand what our tax dollars should be used for, and what they should NOT be used for!

  • I am for responsible growth in our communities and county, but not at the risk of ruining our neighborhoods or our way of life.

  • I am a Conservative and a Christian, and I understand that certain people will need certain help at certain times in their lives. But this doesn't mean it should be a way of life.

  • I believe every person has unique gifts and abilities and our community leaders should be focused on putting those to use for the benefit of the individual as well as for our community.
